Certain users have access to different functions on the ObliviousHD Wiki that allow them to perform tasks to improve and protect the wiki. These users are known as administrators.
Positions
| Oblivious Staff who work at a high position for ObliviousHD have access to all administrator permissions on the wiki. They are also the only users who have administration status away from the wiki on the Roblox platform in the ObliviousHD Group and Studio Oblivious. Oblivious Staff also possess the ability to use higher commands of HD Admin within Roblox games such as Guest World and Roleplay World along with other exclusive permissions. | To become verified as an Oblivious Staff within the wiki, you need to be known as an official contributive member of Studio Oblivious and that it is clear you have high affiliation to ObliviousHD through Roblox and Youtube or have your channel featured to his in The Team. Your status must be at least Manager or above and a Bureaucrat may ask to directly message you using Discord for further discussion of proving your official identity. | |||
| Bureaucrats are a step above administrators and are the highest role within a wiki. They possess all user permissions and rights in a wiki and are the only ones who are responsible to give/remove admin status to other users for rights such as Content Moderator and Administrator. Bureaucrats are also able to change/edit the wiki's interface/layout as well as having the ability to do all actions of an admin. They can also assist Oblivious Staff who are active on the wiki when possible. | To become a bureaucrat, you need to have another bureaucrat assign you. | |||
| Admins maintain and oversee everything on the wiki. Some actions they perform include going back and fixing malicious editing/vandalism, assigning Discussions moderators and aiding in keeping the wiki up-to-date. They also have the ability to lock a page to prevent users without admin/mod rights from renaming or editing a certain page, block IP addresses and/or users, delete pages, perform a "roll-back" if needed, and make announcements. Admins can also use all of the Discussions and Content moderation features. | To become an admin, you need to have a bureaucrat assign you. | |||
| Content moderators assist the admins and bureaucrats with maintaining the wiki and can change protection levels/edit protected pages, delete/undelete pages, and move/overwrite files. | To become a Content moderator, you need to have a bureaucrat assign you. | |||
| Thread moderators assist the admins and bureaucrats with maintaining the Discussions and have access to all of the necessary mod tools that can be used on Discussions, and their job is to keep Discussions a safe place and ensure that all users are following the rules. Some things they can do is delete/lock posts, delete replies to posts and view the log of reported posts. | To become a Thread moderator, you need to have at least an admin assign you. | |||
What shouldn't the Wiki Team do?
Abuse
User/abilities rights should never be abused by admins for their own intentions. If abuse is noticed, it will result in an immediate revoke of the user's rights and a permanent block from the wiki. Administration power should be only used to clean up vandalism, organize and clear spam from the wiki. All admins follow the same rules and policies as everyone else.
Inactiveness
Inactivity can also cause the admin position of a user to be revoked. If editing by an administrator is stopped for over 100 days without notice, they will be contacted by an active staff member regarding their position and may face demotion if the user does not reply to it within a long time period. The only exception to this may be if the user is a member of the official Oblivious Staff.
Applying
Thread Moderator & Content Moderator
Users can be scouted out to the user groups of Thread Moderator or Content Moderator by a Bureaucrat at their own discretion whenever they see fit to do so when skill and dedication to the wiki is presented.
Administrator
Users must be within the groups of both Thread Moderator and Content Moderator to be eligible of being promoted up to Administrator in addition to making an effort of moderating discussions and editing the wiki.
How to Apply
As of now, applying is currently closed due to the amount of construction still required on this wiki.
